Advertisement Today

Advertisement is a make believe unrealistic figure of the human body. All you see is skinny light skinned females being portrayed as sexy is the only way to be. Older women are only used for facial creams so your face won't have wrinkles. Advertisers don't look for the regular girl walking down the street, they don't talk about the over weight girls that are depressed. Advertisers say skinny, long legged, light skinned, long haired is how women ALL women should be. Today; it might be just be but I don't see a big impact on society..no ones checking for that "beautiful make believe person" in the magazine, none of my friends complain about their weight because it seems like everyone likes to be different. To me these days advertisement is advertisement, I don't see no one killing themselves to be what they are not.

Patience In America

I think patience in America is running low because everybody wants everything done right now. Lets take Obama for instance some people think that Obama is not living up to what he said he was going to do for America but America is not giving him a chance to change things because they want things done now. Important ideas and situations don't come together if things are rushed, you can't pull the soilders out of Iraq without a plan, you can't dish out stimulus checks without a plan just like you can't make a cake without the right ingredients because it would not taste good, and on Americas part it would not look good to just do things without a plan. Good ideas take time.

More Famous Dead than Alive?

Tupac? Biggie? Michael Jackson? Do famous people get more famous after death? I think that of course they get talked about more but in reality they only get talked about till people, fans, and critics get tired of that topic. Lets talk about Michael Jackson for instance, some fans tried to over exaggerate how they felt about Michael and how they were influenced by him. I only know one person that loved his music to death before he died and that was my Pom Poms coach Anisa and when I asked her how she felt after he died she looked like she was almost about to cry but thats because she did grow up with Micheal and he was the one who inspired her to dance (we danced to Michael ALL THE TIMEEE !) I do believe some people over exaggerate famous deaths but to fit in or just make it seem like that was their all time favorite artist even though they didn't know them in real life. Tupac and Biggie; no one talks about them anymore and that's why I said people will talk about you when you die till your story gets old.

Reality Shows Relation

Reality Shows sometimes affect people that continue to watch it just because they might feel they can relate to the characters in the show. My friend Alyssa can relate to Snooky in Jersey Shore not because of her dumb blonde ways or her tan but just because of height, size, they almost look alike minus the tan and they both like to have fun. Viewers like to watch reality shows because of drama and maybe past experiences; they can relate to. To me drama is what makes the reality shows popular because without it the shows would be boring. I don't watch reality shows anymore just because I don't have the time to watch TV. When I did watch reality shows which were Laguna Beach the biggest archetype was the mean girl Kirsten, College Hill, and Baldwin Hills in these shows the biggest archetype was the person trying to make something out of theirselves and having fun with it at the same time.

Religification and Music

I talk about Music a lot because it seems like it's MY religion. I sleep, eat, breath MUSIC! My mythology is to wake up to an alarm that sings a tune, get in the shower and sing to my favorite song, then I walk to school and work listening to my phone because I download my music so I can listen and walk. Music surrounds 89% of my day. If it wasn't for school and work I would be at home writing songs and being in the studio. Some people have their favorite artist and in my case my top R&B artist are Aaliyah, Beyonce, Rihanna and Faith Evans then my top Hip-Hop artist would be Tupac, Dolla, and Eminem because they represent my generation Y just like Luke Skywalker representing Generation X. Music is my religion because I study it I'm good with old school music the mid 70's- present type of music. I read about artist, I go to concerts even though I don't worship them you would think I do they way music is in my life. I could have a great debate about who's the best artist out now and back then in the mid 70's. Music is my religion because it involves everything I do!

New Era Terror

Popular music today and being sexy can relate in many ways. Popular Hip-Hop videos sometimes has almost half naked women in them and that can relate to misogynist because the way some of the women are being portrayed in the videos. These days some of the younger generation sees that and thinks its okay to be like that because no one popular is being pushed out in the media. Now some people think it's because of Illuminati that all the good rappers are gone but that's not the issue. The issue is there's more and more people listening to those artist that have the bare women in the videos then the rappers that have good story lines and everyday issues in their songs. It's really more of what people want to listen to right now it seems like more people can relate to be sexy then to struggling now a days because you don't hear artist like Tupac or Biggie anymore, you hear about girls having sex with guys instead of Aaliyah telling you she can be More then A Women or being One in A Million. To me media has gone downhill.

Hip-Hop & Country Music

Country music can relate to Hip-Hop in just a few ways things like who are the lyrics dedicated to. In Hip-Hop all songs don't talk about death, killing, sex or drugs..they talk about being mistreated; women being mistreated. Artist like Common, Tupac, Biggie and Dolla talk about things that people can relate to. Kanye West doesn't always talk about bitches and hoes and he's an up-to-date artist Wale is a story teller who also is up-to-date; that's what Hip-Hop is all about having your fans relate to your music. Country music is for an everyday person it's simple music that you can relate to also. Country music has their own stations on television that are dedicated to that type of music and so does Hip-Hop. they have a station called MTV Jams where they play Hip-Hop and a minimum amount of R&B they have shows that are dedicated to MC's (Who's the best MC?) Country music and Hip-Hop can relate they just have totally two different people listening to them.
